Yesterday, a day when national high school football recruits usually steal the headlines, longtime ActivEdge client and assistant trainer Madeline “Maddy” McEwen inked her allegiance with head coach Robbie Church and the Duke Women’s Soccer program.
A regular attendee of ActivEdge Fitness & Sports Performance since 2005, Peter Christmas leads the senior men in committing to the College of William & Mary to play soccer starting in Fall 2007. Peter has shown steady progress since starting at ActivEdge and displays an unparalleled work ethic while at the gym. He attends East Chapel Hill High School and was named the Pac-6 Player of the Year and an All-State selection while leading the team during his senior year this past fall.

When he watched Vermont upset Syracuse in the first round of the NCAA Tournament two years ago, it left a lingering impression on Evan Fjeld.
The 6-8 Durham Academy senior hopes he’ll get to be a part of more magic moments for the Catamounts in the future. Last week, he gave his verbal commitment to Vermont and Coach Mike Lonergan.

Christina Eckhardt – graduated #1 in her class from Riverside High School in Durham. She played varsity soccer for 4 years and would run in some races at the same time for the track team. She is on a nationally ranked club soccer team, ’87 CASL Elite, that finished 2nd in the nation in 2005.
ActivEdge trainer Meredith Parker competed in the North Carolina State Bodybuilding, Fitness, and Figure Championships on April 8, 2006 at the High Point Convention Center. She placed in Class C, which is 5’4”-5’6”. This was her second time placing in the North Carolina Championships.
