Thank you so much for sponsoring TABLE’s 6th Annual Empty Bowls fundraiser! We are so grateful for the support of our community in helping us continue our mission of fighting childhood hunger in Chapel Hill and Carrboro.
Even under cloudy skies and colder temperatures, nearly 500 people joined us at Weaver Street Market! We had over 15 local restaurants and chefs donate soups, sandwiches, bread, desserts and drinks and more than 50 potters contribute one-of-a-kind handcrafted bowls. And, 3 bands who dedicated their time playing fabulous music throughout the afternoon.
What does this all mean for TABLE and the children we serve? Thanks to your donation and those of the community, we were able to raise over $30,000 – enough funds to deliver 15,000 meals to children in Chapel Hill and Carrboro!
We are so grateful to be surrounded by such giving community members and are so excited to be able to deliver food to even more children this school year!
