12/12/2014: ActivEdge was happy to team up with Roger Jeffs of United Therapeutics and O’Fenders bike to help purchase and build bikes for Trips for Kids and Center for Creative Studies in Durham. Trips for Kids is an non-profit organization which has “opened the world of cycling to over 127,000 at-risk youth since 1988 through mountain bike rides and Ear-A-Bike programs.. (they) combine lessons in confidence building, achievement and environmental awareness through the development of practical skills and the simple act of having fun.” Some of the bikes were also donated to the Center for Creative Studies Magnet School’s cycling team who came out and helped build the bikes. The Center for Creative Studies has the first nationally registered cycling team which started in 2013.
