ActivEdge’s George Worrell competed in several triathlons this summer placing in top positions. The Triangle Triathlon took place at Harris County Park in NC on July 19th. Worrell completed the race in a time of 1:16.51, which put him in second place overall. This sprint triathlon consisted of a 750 meter swim, 17.5 mile bike, and a 5k run. Proceeds from the race went towards the Cary YMCA We Build People Program.
Later in the summer, George traveled to Milwaukee,Wisconsin where he competed in the USA National Age Group Championships. George completed the race as an Olympic Distance participant with a time of 1:57.61, coming in 25th out of 3,067 other athletes. The Olympic Distance consisted of a 1500m swim, 40k bike, and a 10k run through the Discovery World/Milwaukee Art Museum venue. This race required an initial qualifying time in order to compete in the Olympic Distance event. Congratulations George!!
