Beginning May 16th, we will be partnering with Baseball Rebellion to host an 8-week program designed to form the foundation of strength and conditioning for baseball and softball athletes. This is a comprehensive program that will address all the major needs that are specific to baseball and softball athletes.
The program will be designed by leading physical therapist and strength and conditioning specialist, Brian Diaz of ActivEdge Fitness & Sports Performance and Upright Athlete. Brian and Upright Athlete is only one of a handful of clinics in the area using the same techniques used by many teams in Major League Baseball including the past two World Champions, Houston Astros and Chicago Cubs. Starting with Functional Range Conditioning (FRC®) and total joint health, participants will learn how to maximize their strength through a full range of motion. In addition, we will add body weight, bands, medicine balls, and weight equipment to strengthen and condition the body specifically for the demands of baseball and softball. These techniques and exercises are designed to work cohesively with what your hitting and pitching coaches are teaching you and facilitate even greater performance on the field.
The 8-week program will meet 2x per week and be offered to all ages, and we will be starting on May 16, 2018.
Ages 14 and under – Wednesdays at 5:20-6:20pm and Saturdays 9:00am-10:00am
Ages 15 and over – Wednesdays at 6:20-7:20pm and Saturdays 8:00am-9:00am
The initial offering hosted by Baseball Rebellion will be at a discounted cost of $149 for the full 8 weeks (roughly $9/session).
All levels welcome and no need to attend every session since we will be slowly progressing through the movements and exercises, so we expect some people to miss a session or two here and there.
If you can’t make this initial offering, we will be starting a new series in June once school ends! In addition, we will have 40 minute training slots available starting at 3:20pm on Wednesdays and 10:00am on Saturdays.
