Angels Among Us 5k and Family Fun Walk
ActivEdge is proud to continue their partnership with the Preston Robert Tisch Brain Tumor Center at Duke as they sponsored Angels Among Us on Saturday, April 25, 2015 at Duke University. Angels Among Us is a celebration of life, strength, courage and commitment. It has become a national event, with thousands coming from across the country to participate, and make a difference. The success of Angels Among Us has continued to grow with the help of committed volunteers, Duke staff, and the Angels’ Teams comprised of the families and friends of people diagnosed with brain tumors.
The event begins with a 5K run through the Duke campus, followed later by a family walk through the Sarah P. Duke Gardens. Angels has a family-friendly focus offering entertainment, food, silent auction, and activities for children. Awards are given to the top ten fundraising teams, the top newcomer team, and the best team t-shirt design.
From the first event in 1994, raising $27,000, to this years event which raised $2,044,324.44, the Angels Among Us family is truly Remarkable!
Although it was a cold, wet morning, thank you to everyone who came out and made it another successful year!
